Monsoon season is the best time to sit back and eat something hot and crunchy. This season makes you feel lazy also body becomes vulnerable to infections, water born disease and indigestion problems due to which there is a decrease in the metabolism, hence our health takes a troll. Eating fruit will help you stay relaxed as it is the healthiest substitute for a snack as it is packed with nutrients and actually boosts your metabolism. Seasonal fruits then become an ideal in between snack also as it contains phytochemicals and antioxidants help fight disease and making the immune system strong. Monsoon fruits will help prevent any major disease affecting you. Following are 8 fruits to eat in monsoon.
Plum: Plums are very good source of vitamin C & K, copper, dietary fiber and potassium. The reddish blue pigment called anthocyanins present in plums protect from against infections like flu and cold which is very common in monsoon season. Also, the antioxidant in the fruit acts as anti aging skin care agent also rejuvenates lifeless hair.
Cherry: Cherries are high in potassium and low in sodium aids in reducing high blood pressure. Cherries fight against heart disease by reducing bad cholesterol also reduces uric acid levels and has anti cancerous properties. The antioxidants give a soothing effect to the brain and help in relaxation.
Peach: Peaches which are rich yellowish- orange in color contain loads of Vitamin A, B carotene, fiber and vitamin C which helps with good immunity. It is referred to as the fruit of calmness as it helps relieve stress, anxiety and achieve calmness of mind.
